Carolyn Coombs

Carolyn Christensen Coombs returned to her Heavenly Father on December 23, 2024. She went peacefully and was surrounded by her loving family.

Born on April 22, 1937 to Milo and Myrtle Christensen in Moroni, Utah. She brought joy into the lives of the people she touched throughout her life. She graduated from Moroni High School and went on to LDS Business School in Salt Lake City. She married Garn Coombs of Fountain Green and together they had two children Charles and Carla. They also raised Christopher Tuttle as their own.

She loved art and music. She played the piano as a young woman and later played the organ mostly in church meetings. She loved to collect weeds on the side of the road and make creative arrangements with them. She made corn husk wreaths, worked pottery, and she painted pastels on velour. She learned to make paper and worked with Japanese origami.

She is survived by her husband Garn Coombs, children Charles, Carla, and Christopher, nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sisters Elaina, Mona, and Lorraine, and brothers Mitchell, Richard and Andy.

Her viewing will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 9:30 to 10:30, at 860 East 200 North, Springville, Utah 84663. The funeral will then follow at 11:00 am.

Interment will be at the Moroni City Cemetery, 1160 Duck Springs Drive, Moroni, Utah 84646.
