Cecil Dale Behunin
Sept. 15, 1932 - Jan. 8, 2010

Passed away Friday, January 8, 2010 at his home in Los Altos from
complications of Parkinsons. He was born September 15, 1932 in Ferron, Utah
to Cecil and Ida Behunin. Dale is survived by his wife, Janice, his children
James (Kathy), Melinda (Myron) Guymon, Kathy (Mike) O'Connor, Jason
(Marcey), Sarah (Nathan) Smith, 20 grandchildren, and his sister May (Bill)
Jorgensen. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Lue.

Dale was raised in Ferron and graduated from Emery High School in 1950. He attended Utah State and then Iowa State for a doctorate in Veterinary
Medicine. He married Janice Price November 5, 1957 in the Los Angeles LDS
temple. They settled in Los Altos, CA, where they raised five children. Dale
was a partner at El Camino Animal Hospital in Palo Alto.

Dale's retirement years were spent gardening, fly fishing and in church
service. Dale was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints and served with Janice as a senior missionary in the
Adelaide, Australia Mission, in the Family History Library in Salt Lake
City, and as an ordinance worker in the Oakland Temple. Dale was known for
his compassion and service to others.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the LDS Ward Building at 190 Jordan Avenue, Los Altos. Graveside Services will be held in Ferron, Utah, on Saturday, January 16, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ferron City Cemetery.
