Curt Allman

June 12, 1961 — December 19, 2024

Curt Monte Allman returned Home to his Heavenly Father on December 19, 2024, after a valiant struggle with colon cancer. He endured treatments with unwavering faith and optimism. He went peacefully and was surrounded by the family he cherished.

Born on June 12, 1961, to Monte John and Mary Lou (Snow) Allman in Provo, Utah, he brought joy to the lives of everyone around him. Curt was an active and fun-loving boy, and loved riding his horse, Lancer, in the Uintas.

Curt attended Springville High School. He was involved with football, track, the Springville Highs, and drama. He had an infectious enthusiasm for life. Curt married Mari Lisabeth Hopkinson on May 31, 1980, and together, they had four wonderful children. Curt was devoted to his family. They were his greatest joy, along with his six grandchildren.

Curt discovered his calling in his twenties after his father taught him the art of frame making. With an extraordinary, God-given talent, Curt co-founded Allman- Ricks Frames in 1983, quickly earning a reputation as a master craftsman. His exquisite gold-leaf frames are admired worldwide, gracing the homes of renowned artists and celebrities, art museums, and Latter-day Saint temples. His eye for design was unmatched.

Curt’s sense of style extended beyond his craft. Curt was always well-dressed. Architecture, cars, shoes, sunglasses, and Ralph Lauren were a few of his favorite things. At the same time, he’d be happy with a bowl of Apple Jacks and a comfy pair of Kirkland slippers. He loved to go golfing with his son, Curtis. Hobble Creek was his happy place!

Above all, Curt had an abiding faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. His humility, positivity, kindness, and quiet strength touched everyone he met. Heaven is rejoicing now that he’s Home, but for those left behind, he will be missed deeply.

Curt was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mary Lou Allman, and Terry E. Miller, his brother-in-law. He is survived by his father Monte John Allman, his children Dustin Lewis Allman (Julie), Curtis Michael Allman, Duncan Monte Allman, and Melissa Allman Haupt (Mike), his sisters, Terri Sue Miller, Jamie Harmon, Anna Featherstone, his brother, Jake Allman- his grandchildren, Jace, Halli, Olive, Ruthie, Lauren, Monte, and many friends.
