Our amazing son, brother, and father, Kurt Andrew Harmer joined his father who we just lost 5 months ago. Kurt left us after a short illness on February 23 rd at his mother’s home where he was the main caregiver to his mom.

Kurt was born in Cedar City, Utah on March 6th, 1968 to Allan Bearnson Harmer and Patricia Ann Harmer. He was the second born in the family. His older brother Brannon Harmer,(Jenel Davis) and his sister Kendalee Garner loved him completely. He was the only baby in the nursery and was spoiled terribly. When he was two years old he was ran over and dragged by a car. We were lucky to keep him then. He attended Mapleton Elementary and Springville High School where he competed and excelled in wrestling and football. Upon graduation Kurt joined the United States Marine Core where he served his country honorably for four years. Semper Fi. He earned many awards and accommodations including Expert Marksman. Kurt was a giant among men. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He always looked out for the downtrodden. There was absolutely nothing Kurt couldn’t do. He had a t-shirt that said, “If Kurt can’t fix it no one can.” This was so true. Kurt had two beautiful children, a daughter McKayla Harmer and son, Grady Harmer. He would do anything for them. He enjoyed watching them succeed in life.

Kurt enjoyed life to the fullest. He taught many children how to swim at Springville Community Swimming Pool. Kids loved him and he made a difference in their lives. He worked on oil rigs all over this great country. He worked construction, as a mason, building schools and the new swimming pool in Springville. He gained his work ethic from helping on the family farm with his dad in his early years. His bosses all loved him. He always worked his butt off.

Kurt spent the last 5 years with his love and companion Amber Davis. They were never apart. Kurt had two bulldogs that he loved, Buddha and Sasha.

Kurt was preceded in death by his father, Allan Bearnson Harmer, brother in law, Harlen Garner, nephew, Loughlin Garner and niece, Rhiannon Harmer, and his grandparents.

You always knew that Kurt had your back. You wanted him on your side. He would do anything for the people he loved. Kurt will be missed so much.
