On December 27, 2022 after 13 long years away from his beautiful bride, Paul Arrington put on a shining suit of armor and rode a majestic white horse through the heavenly skies to swoop Rosella Banks Arrington into his arms. He was 75 years old at the time.
Paul was born on April 19, 1947, in Lancaster Ohio, to Matthew Cammon Arrington and Nelvalene Carolyn McCandlish. He spent the majority of his life living in Utah county. Paul worked at Deseret Industries in Provo, Utah where he met his eternal companion, Rosella Banks. They soon started dating and with the permission of Rosella’s parents J.P. and Alberta Banks, they were married at the Mapleton LDS church on May 16, 1975. It was a beautiful traditional wedding complete with bridesmaids, flowers and cake. The two sweethearts were later sealed in the Provo LDS temple.
Paul and Rosie shared many common interests such as watching football, participating in recreational activities, and attending family dinners and gatherings. Paul was a walking sports encyclopedia. He could always tell you what teams were playing and where. He always knew who won and what the scores were! He loved all the teams but his very favorites were the BYU Cougars and the Utah Jazz. He was an avid fan and attended as many of their games as he could.
Everywhere he went, Paul made people smile and laugh. He was a charismatic, loving and kookie fellow. He loved to walk around his neighborhood and often stopped to chat with people. He had a way about him that was irresistible. He was very clever at getting money for soda from anyone he talked to, and people gladly gave it! That’s just one example of how charming he was. He did have a sweet-tooth, he loved his soda, candy or anything sweet.
Paul was a beloved husband, brother-in-law, and uncle. He is survived by a large extended family who will never forget his warmth, charm and quirkiness. He was adored and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Special thanks to all his family for making him a part of their lives; and to the staff at Medallion Manor and Provo Rehab for making him feel like a part of their family.
On Wednesday, January 4th, 2022 there will be a viewing at the Spring Creek Utah County Mortuary at 12:00 p.m. followed by the funeral at 1: 00 p.m. It will also be live streamed for those who aren’t able to attend.
Paul will be interred at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah next to his “Precious” Rosie.
